Have you ever settled for a job and regretted it the moment you stepped into the premise?” Which steps did you take?

  • 10

I personally worked for 2hr as I listened keenly on how the current staff were complaining. They were so negative, I left and never went back

I was invited for an interview in one of the biggest furniture showroom as a sales rep. Did first oral interview, then later they sent a 4 page questionnaire to my email which I filled n sent back, then was invited to another interview where I was given a list of 4 furniture showrooms I was to visit n write a report on different topics, after 2 days I returned the report.

A week later I was called for another interview by a panel, on attending I was given a paper to write down my former employers contacts n location. A map of where I lived. A week later they called me for the job but I didn’t show up. I was so exhausted to even think of working for them

I also think that Indian-Kenyans, according to most posts and also based on what I’ve heard are very abusive and cruel towards Africans. How can we endure this racial abuse when we buy their stuff and they never recognise us? It’s time we used social media to highlight this racism because our politicians are never bothered

At 1st things were good and promising till the company could no longer deliver clients promises lying to the old the sickly and the young a like became the order of the day. At night I would repent for the lies and compromising my integrity memories of clients tears and unpleasant stories are still fresh 3 yrs of good and bad memories.

Yes, once someone connected me with a job kwa mhindi Westlands it was a family business and salary was fair. The first day I reported I kept my self busy dusting and rearranging their products then kukaa kidogo, out of nowhere the wife aka all the guy who was showing me around the shop, aki akaanza kumtusi ovyo later nikauliza huyo jamaa is this how you work here? akaniambia itabidi uzoee Coz haja yako ni pesa.

Jeez mimi mtu anitusi mbele ya watu na sijakosea, by the end of that day I made up my mind not to report the following day. I never reported the next day and I never picked their calls and they even called the person who connected me with them wakimwambie kama ni salary niliona ni kidogo niende tuongee. I said nooo can’t work in such environment
