If you look at overall company size and revenue, Mercedes-Benz (part of Daimler AG) is larger than BMW.
Daimler AG, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz, is a multinational automotive corporation headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany. The company is one of the largest producers of premium cars and the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles.
BMW, on the other hand, is a German multinational corporation which produces luxury vehicles and motorcycles. The company also owns and produces Mini cars, and is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
In terms of revenue, Daimler AG ( Mercedes-Benz) had an annual revenue of €182.8 billion in 2019, compared to BMW AG’s revenue of €115.5 billion in the same year. In terms of market capitalization, Daimler AG’s was around €48.3 billion, meanwhile BMW AG’s was around €49.5 billion as of 2021.
